So it looks like my girl is going to be one of those babies who poos only once every few days, which means when she does poo, it's messy!

What are the best nappies for containing these? Or am I dreaming?

So far she's leaked out of an itti bitti d'lish SIO, a bitti boo and a berry plush. Testing types is a bit hit and miss because I never know when it's gonna happen!

i found that a fitted or prefold with a cover the best... the poo may escape the nappy but the cover (providing it is a good one like a bummis or real nappy cover) will keep it contained.

bamboozles fitted with a cover - never once had a leak and we had some pretty nasty 'splosions!

Excellent, I'll keep experimenting then. I'd just had a lady from plunket say that it was a job for sposies which I really don't want to use!

haha that makes me laugh - The only time we had poo escaping was when she was in sposies! Travelling up her back around her front    And itti bitti d'lish are the only MCNs where poo has escaped (I suspect that was a fit issue though)

Itti Bitti AIO's I've found good on my skinny bub for poo explosions. Surprised that she exploded out of the bitti Boo as that is a very similar fit to the AIO.

So I'm no help either except to say the only good thing about a sposie & explosions is the throwing the nappy out, didn't contain up the back for us.

I just had success with the honey child

I've got older snap in ittis and I've noticed the outer sits out from her legs a tiny bit because the stiff snap in bits seem to take up quite a bit of space if that makes sense? Is there a way to soften the trifold part a bit?

Snap them or flick them so they make a snapping sound before you hang them out & the same when you bring them in. Loosens up the fibres. Works brilliantly to get your old towels soft again too

With Jake if he did a poosplosion it didnt matter what nappy he was wearing.. it at least came out one leg.. but again that was a fitting issue (as in he didnt fit small nappies properly until 5 months).

Sposies, it was down both legs and up the back
