The other thing that can send them off is the uneven surface if you have slats on the cot. Just a thought. They say to put a piece of wood down

Hiya. Our cot has slats and it's been fine. Our slats are fixed though, if they are moveable it will probably be a problems.

Yeah I have fixed slats and its never happened but its happened to a few friends. I put a flattened cardboard box down and it hasn't happened.

She has set it off once dunno how but she was right upwithout her tummy on the cot and another time same thing but I think thats because the second sensor pad wasn't connected not sure. Either that or its because she didn't move her feet?

Thanks for your advice everyone!! I popped into Baby City today and they were selling them for $300, however I saw a Tommy Tippee one which has all the same features as the AngelCare Sound and Movement Monitor but also had a night light and room temp thing for $250 and decided to get that instead!
