ask when you can come in and have a look. what hours they do cause some dont do half days, how long is their waiting list if they have one. how many staff to kids? whats their snack policy (mine does fruit but others do whatever the parents supply).

once you go and look tho you will think of the things you need to know.

Stacey, I can recommend Riverdale Kindy down by you. Alia went there & loved it. All the teachers are good. They have fruit/veges for morning or afternoon tea.

Interesting that you say that because MIL works for ERO as a senior review officer and she reckons its not very good at all and thinks we should check out other places instead.

You might also want to ask whether he would initially do mornings or afternoons (for those that do half days). I was told that generally the young ones start out doing afternoons which may not always work for naps. The kindy Jack is on a waiting list for allows you to do mornings or afternoons (whatever is available) and the kids are of mixed ages at each session.

Also what is the starting age. I believe that public kindys start at 3yrs+ but a private kindy may take children from 2yrs space permitting.

Well I'm going into check out montessori early next week when their admin lady is back. We can't really afford it but the in laws have said a couple of months ago they would help us out with that. It's just down the road from us which is a plus.

Thanks for those questions Bizzy, I wouldn't have thought of the snack thing

Oh really that is interesting? Alia was there last year in the morning session & I found it good...but things can change quickly with kids coming & going all the time. But would have thought that the teachers were still good.

I don't think that there are any other kindy's around this area. Only Play centre on Church street. I had heard that was good
