I think i have finally finished getting my newborn stash sorted out.

I have a few fitteds, got some lovely ones from debbie - they are all coming to the hospital with me - and even a small swaddlebee pocket. some little prefolds and some not so little in birdseye cotton... some not so little pockets for when she grows and last night i brought two med size fuzzi buns - not my fave nappy but hubby really likes them and they are the last ones snazzipants have in the old style (quite a bargain for $29 incl insert i thought) and... ta da some small unbleached prefolds... oh and just now i got a 6 pack of snappies off TM for $9 incl postage.

all done and now i just need the baby...

i must say tho i am envious of aimee's hire kit!

I will take a photo for you Deb when I put them away this arvo! I never realised how small the newborn nappies were, even compared to the small size. Have to say I think the cutest are the old Rosies NB's and the NB swaddlebees!!

yay for having it all sorted tho - got some pink ones in there I hope

I wouldn't take your own cloth naps to the hospital - we were warned when there that if we put any clothes/nappies in the washing bucket we'd be lucky to see them again. That's unless someone you know is willing to take them home and wash them for you, or you're only planning on staying a little while. Private hospitals are probably different though if you're going that way... Public hospitals should provide cloth or disposable nappies for bubs while you're there.

i have no intention of leaving them for the hospital to wash... have packed a wet bag to give to hubby to take home ... i brought the debbie naps off TM that have this gorgeous shell pattern on them - and i have another one that was a gift...and as soon as i saw that i just knew she was going to wear it home from hospital...

i wasnt sure abut the newborn fitteds at first but when i compared them size wise to some free disposables i got from the parent/child show there was no difference and the fitteds looked cuter!

I'm gonna take some to the hospital as well Deb. I figure as long as they have liners they will be protected from yuckky meconium. DH is happy to bring them home to wash, but you have just reminded me to add a wet bag.

Hospitals dont do peoples washing so I think it would be great to take them in with you Debs and Aimee. I dont think hosp even supply sposies. You can use their flats but thats about it. Yay for haivng your NB stash all ready to go girl!!
