    Posted: 29 April 2010 at 2:38pm
Okay, I am on the look out for a nappy bag that is not too large and not too small. I was using a backpack just coz that is what we had, then I got a small bag from Katmandu but it was a little tooo small.....

I don't want something too bulky, just something to fit nappies, change mat, wipes, change of clothes and my wallet. I want to use this bag as my handbag as well, so don't have to carry lots around. Lots of pockets are always good if you ask me esp ones that have external pockets. Don't want to spend a fortune on one either.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have the Phil & Teds Diddie Bag, find it really good, not too expensive and even hubby can carry it as it's nice and neutral!

Have a look on the net for them to see if you like them? Heaps of pockets, etc and comes with a lil backpack and a changemat already!

I too have a P&T Diddie, I like it, seems to be bottomless lol but it doesn't have a thermal pocket for milk bottles.

I attach it to the handle of my P&T Sport, however with a newborn lying flat it constantly whacks my knees!

I also have a Ryco Deluxe Everyday Messenger Bag Ryco bag it has a thermal pocket and a change mat (attached), lots of little storage pockets!!

What does 'messenger bag' mean, I have seen lots with that name, does it just mean it has a fold over flap??

Have a look on the Baby City and Baby Star websites, a lot of the Baby Star ones are about $200, but look 'cool', Baby City have some nice ones too and are a lot cheaper.

Alternatively you could just get a normal handbag and use that, just buy a separate change mat if you need one and a thermal bag if you plan to take bottles.

blossombaby, def look at baby star, or you could try kids republic. Not sure if Infantesimal have nappy bags. I got mine from baby star, and it this one.
I dont think they have any more of them at the moment, but they might be able to order more in, or a diferent one of that brand. (Not sure if its your type of style?)
I think mine cost 160-170. But I LOVE it.

Also, the parent and child show is coming in June, I've heard they often have good deals on bags etc.

Have a look on TM. THats where I got alot of mine. As I have been through a few. I have a skip hop dash at the moment, which is a messenger bag but it keeps whacking Evelyn in the head so I just take it and leave it in the car and have my hand bag from bling. It's HUGE I just chuck a few nappies in it, a flat cloth nappy to change them on and for spills, a bib, wipes and then all my stuff, wallet, phone, gloss tissues, keys, etc
I don't go out for long spells with the 2 of them, and cause I'm  so close to the shops anyway.

I've got a pouchmiss & I either use it on it's own or change my handbags to suit my mood

Linky

It has a shoulder strap or strap you can use for buggy handles but not shown in picture.

To attach my nappy bag to my phil in teds I use 2 carabena (sp) clips on either side that I've attached to the handle using loops of woven strap stuff I got from the sewing shop. They have the added bonus on being able to hang shopping bags from too!

I just use a messanger like bag I already had for all the nappy stuff.

I got a gr8x baby traveller nappy bag in a sale and it's really useful - can clip onto the handles of the buggy, be worn as a messenger bag or a backpack. Doesn't have a whole lot of external pockets but plenty internally for bibs, wipes, nappies, change of clothes, dummies, hand sanitiser ... whatever you reckon you need!

I got mine from Belly Beyond where they used to retail for about $120 but it was massively reduced as it was a previous season's colour. I find it really handy as it's a reasonable size (not massive like some), everything is in the one handy place for changing and it doesn't necessarily look like a nappy bag
