Still in hospital She's been admitted for more tests.
We've just had an xray to check her tummy for poo boulders (She's had chronic constipation since she was 2!) They think that it could be that that's causing her all this pain. If the xray doesn't show lots of poo then we then have an ultrasound to check her kidneys and everything else.. the consultant we saw this morning doesn't think she's ever had a urinary tract infection, and that blood in the urine doesn't always mean its a urinary tract infection. Getting a little bit frustrated with all these doctors deciding different things!!! But at least they are finally testing her properly.
(Sitting here in the childrens school room which has internet access, wahoo!)

There was lots of poo
She was chocker block full, big hard boulder like masses right throughout her intestines Which explains the lack of appetite (nowhere for it to go!) and pain. Doc said he had never seen a child like that!
We are home now, she's on home care and she has to have the rest of the week off school while he work on getting it all back out

Yeah I guess it is! And really bizarre that she never had a UTI... if A&E had of done an xray instead of "Guessing" she might have been treated earlier!

Last year my hubby kept getting antibiotics for what the Dr thought was an UTI. After 5 months he finally went and saw someone else who immediately put through a referral to a urologist for a scan. The scan picked up a HUGE bladder stone, and he was booked into surgery the following week. He got the bladder stone from prolonged cathetar use as he was in hospital for 4 months earlier on.
Funny thing was the DR who kept giving the Abs is the main Dr in our area, and the one who actually did something was a locum fresh out of med school.
