Has anyone used these nappies before? I have a voucher from snazzipants and am looking at using cloth and since having a sizing scan on Wed and finding out that I have an 8lb11oz and seeing as dp is quite a big guy and my brothers are all tall we are expecting that our one will grow out of new borns quite quickly so don't think that I will do what I originally thought and use the prefolds with the wraps as they will grow our far too quickly I was thinking of getting the full start up pack from snazzipants.

Are they quick drying? and what would you use to boost them, I would think that you would need to get more boosters then just what you get in the pack?

TIA

One of my friend brought some she said the fleece always gets stained and that she doesn't like them very much. That's basically all I've heard about them as I never tried them myself. Being a pocket nappy though they should be quick drying depending on what you stuff them with

I bought one haute pocket one size when i was figuring out what i wanted to do when we upsized in the last couple of months. I have to say of the 4 other types of pockets/all-in-ones I bought, the haute are my least favourite. Although they are one size, Natalie can fit them without using the leg-rise poppers at all, and is almost on the last ones around the waist....so i don't think they will last as long as I had hoped. I've also found they leak more than the others (although maybe because the fit just isn't great on her)....she is 10kg now - but I bought the one size hoping they would make it to TT....and don't think that will happen!

I would definitely recommend trying a few on your baby (when your baby arrives!) before committing to a whole pack. What works on one baby doesn't work for another! Maybe a trial or rental pack? You don't want to end up with a whole heap of nappies that don't work, and having to onsell etc.

As for inserts, during the day the ones that come with the haute one size are generally ok, but you could add another microfibre or bamboo/hemp generic insert if you need more boosting.

The inserts take the longest to dry, so the microfibre ones that come with the nappies are pretty good.

Personally I would recommend happy heinys one size over the haute one size, which snazzipants also stock. Are you in Auckland - maybe a trip to the shop in Milford might be helpful?

Didn't mean to sound so negative, I'm sure there are babies for which the Haute one size are great on!

Yeah I've been to the store, and I was originally going to go with the prefolds and bummi wraps to begin with but now seeing as our baby is going to be so big (don't know why I thought we would have a small baby lol) I am thinking that we will just bide our time and wait till bubs is a little bigger and older and go with pockets.

Any other opinions are appreciated. Hmm maybe its time to look on trade me when bubs is here and see what they have to try before getting a whole pack.

i havent used the haute but did use the happy heiny and loved them... not sure how much you have to spend with them, but the happy heiny OSFA pocket pack would definitely be a good option. I remember when i started cloth i got one of their trial packs with fitteds and prefolds, and thought it was great. even tho your baby may weigh a bit (my first was 8 12) they are still little...

i won a haute one size during the nappy hunt and didn't like it much. it never sat on charli properly and had major wing droop!

i definately recommend buying a few different types on TM to try before you commit to buying a whole pack.

ones i used that i loved were...baby harmony, drybees (although i'm not sure they are available anymore)...peapods are good to try too, you either love them or hate them
