I wondered if anyone down that way was into snorkelling?
I've recently got into it and loooove it. Its so much fun finding things and catching/finding a feed (not for me, but for others lol). When Daniel comes along I find starfish for him cause he thinks they are neat.
I know a few places to go where you can see a fair bit, but I don't really know many people who have tried it or wanna try it.
Its always cooler when theres more people to go with and for safety its dumb to do it by yourself so I wondered if anyone on here is into it or wants to try it (as I do have some spear gear). I recently went with a mate who had never done it before and hes now going out to get himself some gear lol.

Me and DH both scuba. Well I'm semi retired due to shore diving in Welly not agreeing too much with my back
Where do you snorkel, Kapiti coast or in Wellington itself?
We live right on the south coast so would be keen for a snorkel if you're ever down this way

Wellys itself. I only know a few spots so tend to go to those cause I know I'll find something. I generally come down every weekend that its sunny, tides and wind are all good.

Cool! Anywhere in the reserve is awesome for scenic diving/snorkelling. Plus it's all within a 5 min drive from our house and a hot shower
I'd definitely be on for getting together sometime. I've never tried to catch anything while snorkeling before.
I shall ask DH later for suggestions on non-reserve sites. My knowledge of Welly sites is pretty terrible.
