Charlotte just will not shut up!!!!! she talks non blimmin stop and it is doing my head in!!!! She could talk underwater, I am sure. This morning st started at 4.30am!!!!!!!!!! And she has not stopped jawing since then!!!
Even Jakey gets sick of her, he shuts himself in his room to get away from her.

Sounds like me when I was a kid...
My brothers were clever (there were 3 of them). They used to play hide and go seek with me, but cos I was SOOO good at hiding, I had to hide, while all 3 looked for me...
Apparently they used to leave me there for a couple of hours and would stomp past occasionally and yell at each other "have you found her yet?" and then carry on watching tv or whatever they were doing...
Took me a while to figure out what they were doing apparently...

While she doesn't wake at 4:30 and start talking, Hannah's definitely a talker..
The only time she's not talking is....well... when she's asleep, I guess

Aw lol cute, but must get annoying after a while. I think it's a girl thing, I still do it and dp has to tell me to shut up lol!
Maybe try distracting her with something that she can get really focused on?

My niece Emily is 8 as well and the only time she stops chattering is when she's asleep. Joys of girls.

Janaya doesn't shut up. I find myself just zoning out and before I know it I've agreed to let her do something and have no recollection of saying yes!

Addison is the same, she just does not stop talking at all. It drives us crazy. we are already planning on getting her her own phone line when she gets older haha. Funny thing is often she is so quiet around people she doesnt know and wont talk that they dont believe us when we tell them.

Keira is the same too! Drives me bonkers somedays!
I had someone come babysit her once and I think they were totally overwhelmed by how much she could talk and the amount of questions she could fire out in an hour.
I have discovered though that I can almost keep her quest for 30 minutes while painting her face.. almost!

What kid doesn't? I have 3 boys so one of them is always talking or all 3 at once I so zone out.
What till you are asked something 100+ times & reply yes to it & then wonder what you have just said yes to.

I taught 8 year olds before having DD and girls can definately talk! There are a lot of boys that are just as good though. I can guarentee that there are times at school that she has to sit and not talk so she is able to have some non-talking time. She will be having silent reading at some point during the day at school and I can see no reason why you couldn't do the same at home in the holidays I would aim for about 10 minutes you never know she might just keep quiet for longer.
She will be back at school on Monday so not long before you get some peace and quiet from it all.
