Okay so I use ecobub pockets at night. I have two large nappies which fit my boy snuggly on the smallest snap size but every night it leaks at the top and get everything all wet.
Please your suggestions at how to stop this leaking at the top of the nappy.

Add more stuffing at the top, and check that the microfleece isn't sticking out over the top. .

My boy is a tummy sleeper and manages to sleep on a very huge night nappy. I have a microfibre insert, and bamboo trifold and a hemp trifold, and then I have another hemp trifold folded in two at the top front of the nappy so it covers just the front.

Are the whole length of the inserts you are using sopping wet, or just the front?

THe whole length of them. I am using:
2x microfibre inserts (they are sewn to make four layer each)
1x bamboo boast (placed inside top microfibre
1x hemp terry insert.

Since he sleep on his front I pul the inserts to the front of the nappy.

I think maybe the microfleece rolls out at the top and thats why it leaks. Any suggestions if that is the case??

I would try getting a woolen soaker to go over the top as it sounds like it is a compression type leak. Also there is a possibility you need more layers.

At night we have a pocket with a microfibre/hemp trifold then a 2 layer bamboo trifold and lastly a 2 layer hemp trifold. So all up we have 3layers microfibre, 6 layers bamboo and 9 layers hemp.

It really is a bit of trial and error on night nappies I am afraid.

Good Luck

I'd suggest using more hemp/bamboo and less microfibre as the microfibre acts like a sponge when wet & compressed. Otherwise wool, like Skyflame suggested, is brilliant as an outer layer.

arent ecobubs front opening pockets? and dont they have that envelope type opening... ?

if it is their day pockets maybe they just arent meant to cope with nights cause they are a thinner PUL.

Yes they are front opening. I thought they were meant to be a good night nappy. Argh this whole nappy thing is so confusing to get right.
I didn't have any leaks last night as I chucked in a whole heap of bamboo and hemp. THe funny thing was though and I did laugh (instead of cry) that when I took the nappy off and praised him for having clean pj's (not that he can help it) he peed all over his pj's. That is the first time in his life that he has peed with his nappy off. So I still have to wash his pj's anyways. LOL

These are wool.
I have had two nights of no leaking with extra hemp and bamboo but now I need more inserts because I have to wash my inserts everyday with the number I"m using.
I was wondering about greenbeans and making my own?? But I don't know anything about velour/fleece or ... so I'm just going to hold off a little while and wash everyday until I figure it all out.

fleece is more absorbant than velour and making your own is really easy.

Glad to hear something is working though.
