Lol, thanks for bumping this Emmecat, i was looking for it. What colour is this thing anyway? Cuz the book i'm reading would suggest its a "clear jelly-like substance" so its a colourless ball of snot?

Varies. After the 1st S&S, it was fairly clear. The one over the weekend was slightly coloured - beige-ish?

urgh I would make a hopeless nurse/doctor lol. mine was gross, huge blob of snot lokking stuff yuck if I hadn't of been in so much pain I would've spewed hehe. Oh cos mine came out same time labour started, just after my waters gushed everywhere...all very dramatic!

Your mucous plug is usually clear/cream, similar to EWCM. Sometimes it can have blood streaks through it.
If you see bright red blood (usually closer to birth itself) then its your bloody show.
