well i'm guessing that you are having your bubs or are definately in labour was going to say, the fact these 'cramps' have a peak to them then i'd say your in early labour. for me, this started for me early monday morning and charli was born early tuesday.
as for 'knowing' when your in labour.....my contractions were 30secs every 5mins and i still thought it was false
good luck hun....can't wait for an update

Well it wasn't false labour!!
In brief after a mammoth 27 hours or labour, I had an emergency c section. Had no drugs apart grom gas until the epidural for the c section. Lauren got stuck as she was brow presentation and posterior and 9lbs! We could even see her head when I was pushing!! Imagine if I went to full term, they guestimated she would have been 11lbs!! Gutted to have to have a c section, but there was no way she was able to come naturally with brow presentation and being posterior. Nothing I could change, thats just the way nature goes! All in all I found labour such an empowering and the most amazing experience of my life and would go through it all again in a flash!!

Wow I'm sorry you had 29 hours of labour and then c/s, that sucks!
But on the other hand I'm a bit chuffed that I said it was labour and possibly posterior!

busymum I would do it all over again, it was the most amazing experience of my life! All the pain in the world would not change my opinion of my experience of labour and an unexpected c/s. Sometimes nature dictates these things that we cannot change, ah well, I have my gorgeous girl now!

Yea I know a bit of how you feel because I had almost 12 hours labour then emergency c/s with #1 and VBAC with #2 although she was posterior and my "early labour" was over 30 hours

I tell ya by the time they said sorry but your going in for a c/s I was so over labour/pain having pushed for 2 and half hours and still no baby. When they said c/s, I was like bring it on I am well over this!
All I could say the whole labour was "god this is no fun, this is so not fun". DH still hassles me about it too!

Yea I was told that they were considering giving me an epidural in case I would need a c/s in an hour, otherwise if I wanted to go without they might need to suddenly knock me out with a general when the c/s decision was made. (I had been all for a natural water birth, no gas even, haha whatever) and I was like, YEP! I want that epidural! Now!! Thanks

That is exactly how I felt when they said I had to have an emergency C/S. I was pushing for 2 hours + also. Caitlin was 9lb 7.5oz and was posterior with the cervical lip stuck on her head
Also, good to hear that your emerg C/Ss was not a negative experience, well done and welcome baby Lauren
