Way to add to the stresses of first-time motherhood!
Jeez. The last thing I'm going to feel like doing is arguing tooth and nail with hospital staff having to justify WHY I should be entitled to stay. That's bull.
yes i just read that part so you dont have to worry so for first time mums its better than chch where you are out within three hours unless there is something that means you need to stay(c-section etc) i hate the idea that i have to transfer so quickly:( but at least we have a place to go i guess..
And where a woman wanted to stay in hospital for social reasons, despite being clinically ready to go home, staff would use their "best endeavours" to accommodate them.
True... I bet if the midwives got an extra hundy for every person they looked after, there wouldn't be such a shortage
Re: the big clocks in the delivery suites... I'm kinda glad cos I bet I won't feel like wearing my glasses or contacts when I'm in labour and I'm blind as a bat! Lol
My Mum was saying i wouldnt be able to wear contacts(they have been uncomfy since about week 10 anyway ..in case i have to have an emergency c section..suppose that makes sense.. yeah i cant see anything either.. so they have to put bubs pretty close to my face to see him:)
bella.. sorry to threadjack(though it is my thread so why not) :) do you have problems with people calling Ella-Grace just Ella..or do you not mind if they don't use the whole name..I had problems(always have but especially) at the Gd test as they kept writing Kerri and my name is Kerri-Anne.. and it matters to me.. !:) my parents just call me KA and they thought I'd go by Kerri but i don't so i spell the whole name every day and explain it's not two names it's one:)
