Seabands - they were awesome! Plus I recently heard of someone having pickled ginger, like what you get at the sushi place and they swore by it. I will try that with the next one!

I suffered from morning sickness from the moment we concieved just about (i know this cuz i NEVER feel sick any other time) and now at 20wks, its only just gone - which is great cuz i was about to go on a murderous rampage because of it :P Nothing worked for me - everything made me sick. I did find floating around in a pool settled things. Lets hope some of the girls remedies might help you! you've got a long way to go :D

Hey. Eating regularly was the best thing for me too.
I've never been able to stomach breakfast early but if I didn't get something in me I'd be so we went to moore wilsons and bought the calcitrim liquid breakie in bulk (could also use up&go or complan) and I'd sip that and hot blackcurrant every morning when I got up.
When I was feeling sick and not sure whether to puke or eat I just did both.

My nausea usually only kicks in after I eat breakfast - which means that eating more food or drinking like ginger ale or crackers is not really appealing! The thing that works every time *like a charm* is to go out for a walk and get fresh air. It helps that it is winter here and the air is cool and refreshing. I do recommend this, though.

Oh yeah, I also avoided certain smells that set me off throughout the entire pregnancy. I hated the smell of cooking meat so poor DH had to cook his own dinners while I went outside to avoid the stench and he stopped drinking perc coffee too until after Michaela was born.

I lived on cooked potatos and fresh fruit and veg for the first few months and then found a really easy risotto recipe which I constantly cooked.
For some reason I didn't like to mix my veges and couldn't stand salad dressing so whenever my DH had salad I had the veges split up into seperate portions on my plate.
I also ate tonnes of cheese and mince meals because once the sauce was added I couldn't smell the meat anymore.

p.s. the one thing that made me like nothing else was ginger which I normally love but had to avoid for the duration of my pregnancy.

Hi, sorry to hear you're feeling sick! I have only just stopped feeling sick in the last week or so, i tried maxalon which didnt work so had to go onto something stronger once id got into my 2nd trimester.
people gave me so much advice, everything from sea bands (didnt work) to ginger (also didnt work!). I say just try EVERYTHING because everyone is different.
Toast with vegemite in the morning was a lifesaver for me. Avoid supermarkets if possible, the mixture of smells is just terrible. Make sure you get plenty of rest and NEVER let your stomach get empty of food - just keep snacking during the day, it really doesnt matter what it is. Another important point is to eat anyway, even if you throw it up (which i know is totally yucky - avoid noodles and rice which look and feel horrible coming back up and try yogurt and chocolate which taste good both ways). This will keep your keytones down and therefore stop you from getting worse.

oh and another thing is to try eating right after you've thrown up. sounds wierd and gross, but i found personally that if i waited until i felt 'settled' it was too late and i was running for the bucket again. fun fun!
also, if you can't stomach eating anything in the morning, try drinking a glass of juice watered down 50/50 with either water or lemonade.

Eat, Eat, Eat! I just ate very small amounts but often.
Raw carrots, toast, bananas, crackers, ice lollys etc.
I was in Hardy's yesterday and they have a natural remedy for moring sickness. Even the thought of anything with ginger in it makes me feel sick 4 years on!

Lemonade iceblocks. They've gotten me thru 3 pregnancies.
Watered down juice like Youngmum suggested is good too, that's what they give you in hospital when you're in with hyperemesis (chronic morning sickness).
Toast is good, yoghurt coz it goes down easily and doesn't hurt/burn if it comes up again. Agree with youngmum again on the no rice and noodles, and I'd even go so far as to say pasta either, they don't look good in reverse and worse, they get stuck half way up
The worst thing for me when I was preg with the gremlins was that Dominos brought out some awful pizza with cheese in the base, they advertised it on TV every five minutes and just the sight of it was enough to make me hurl, it was like torture, I felt like the TV was conspiring against me!

PS. Seabands and Maxalon never worked for me, I ended up on a cocktail of Zofran and Cyclazine, NaturoPharm morning med (the homeopathic remedy) made me vomit more and I will never, ever drink MiZone sports water again after drinking litres of it during my preg with the gremlins to try and keep my hydration levels up and the ketones away.
Oh and I recently tried Preggy Pops, they didn't do much for the nausea but they tasted yummy
