DD is 6 n half months old - been sleeping in our room.

She is waking 11pm... 2am and 4am - mostly from habit. she will Breastfeed and re settle within 10mins

We are moving her to own room next weekend. Tips and advice please how to make the transition smooth and stress free for her and ME !

I am keen to introduce new routines where she is not dependent on me feeding her to help settle her back. Im open to CIO but would like all ideas also.

Thanks in advance

You might find some of the articles on the The Sleepstore website useful. They promote Verbal Reassurance but also have gentle techniques.

Here's the link

controlled crying seems a nicer option than CIO, at least to try.
But you may find she's fine when you're not right there.
Does she have a dummy, or a blanket, or any comfort thing?

Maybe ask your other half if he'd sleep in with her for the first couple of nights. That's what we did - dads seem to be a bit better about just sleeping or dozing through little wake up sessions, whereas we might be tempted to react before we're really needed.

My daughter is 22 months old and still wakes in the night its completely normal baby/toddler sleeping patterns.
With breastfeeding make it as easy on yourself as you can.
I did get her to drop the 2am bf at 12 months through talking to her. 5-6 hour stretches of sleep are normal.
