Ok so I got my test results early and I am NONE the wiser!!
The told me its not a negative and its not a postive they said its equalitive not sure of the spelling and that my levels were 17 she said she needs to retest because it will go up if I am pregnant or go down if I am not. I have to wait till thursday Im glad I had the bloods done though, becasue she siad it was very unlikely that I was PG and now at least I have a lil chance??? What does this mean? Normally u just pee on a stick & bang ur pregnant I dont know bout any of this other stuff lol
Ok most pee tests pick up a level of 50 and some more sensitive ones pick up at 25. Levels in blood are higher than in urine. If the pregnancy is going well then the level should double every 48-72 hours, if it rises slower than that or fall then you will likely miscarry. Anything over 5 is considered pregnant but some drugs and menopause can effect the level.
Oh don't worry about the actual number, it is how it rises that matters.
Yeah they said that they are expecting it to drop off kinda like the end of a early miscarriage, I was like what?? But now thAT I am home and looking at that late ovulation thing I was talking about that I just HAPPENED to do the baby dance on, I think I may have concieved at that point making this a VERY EARLY pregnancy it is so weird how this is working out lol If it does drop off then im going to be sad but they said I hve to be prepared for that to happen like not get my hopes up.
I had this recently my level was only 30 when I got my pregnancy confirmed so they did more blood tests. Unfortunately I did miscarry at 6 weeks 2 days. But it was nothing to do with that initial level it was because when they did subsequent tests my levels were rising but not fast enough. 17 is actual within the normal range for 5 weeks or less, they are just being cautious because its low but the actual number isn't a proper indication of whether there is a problem or not.
