Topic: AF Query Posted: 14 October 2008 at 2:18pm |
hi all
im new to this and have been reading through this forum - pretty interesting so far
i have gone off the depo since July as me and partner are planning on having a baby
as reading through the forum i have now registered with fertility friend and purchased a BBT thermometer -
it said to start charting AF has to be flowing normally -
AF started for me 7Oct but im not sure if its flowing normal as it flows in the morning not heavily and then night times theres nothing on the pad but there is blood there (hope this makes sense hard to explain)
so my question is should i start charting or this doesnt count?
any help will do - thanks

Sounds like it could be a "normal" AF for you... everyone is totally different.
I'd go for it with the charting, it's a really helpful way of learning about your cycles... make sure you join us in the charting thread
Day 1 of your period is just your first day of bleeding... not spotting.
Maybe your AF is a bit haywire cos of coming off the depo... lots of ladies have that.
But if it was me, I'd just go with what I had

Molz, that sounds normal to me. I would always wake up to clean pads in the morning during AF but bleed during the day.

I have the same kind of thing except just lighter at night, that's more to do with gravity as when you're lying down the blood pools in your uterus instead of coming out (see what I mean by gravity???)....so it sounds like your normal AF to me!

I think the Shettles method (might wanna google it) says you BD the day of and after ovulation rather than before it
Not quite sure, but googling it would give ya heaps of answers

lol!! Had to have a wee giggle re the abbreviations. I was the same when we first started TTC. I didnt even know I had to BD around OV time lol.....
Just wanted to say welcome to OB, and yep I agree with the others, sounds like a normal AF to me too.
Once you get your chart up and running make sure you add it over on the Charts thread so we can add it to our very small list
