Topic: Oh noes! Its a rant about pain! Posted: 13 March 2008 at 8:56am |
Who'd have ever guessed? All I seem to be good at doing is ranting! But you know what? who cares! I think this time I actually have a gosh darned good reason to.
I have officially been awake for 7 hours so far today (woke at 1am) I have been in the most incredible pain in my whole life - seriously thought my spine was gonna jump outta my back and dance around the bedroom. I went to bed just after 11.30pm last night as well, so that means i've had a wonderful 1.5 hours sleep! hurrah!
Now, someone needs to stop this ride (as others have said) and let me the hell off now before I go on a murderous rampage due to pain related insanity. Honestly, I dont know how I am expected to function when I'm not allowed an pain relief - relaxation and breathing techniques dont work (probably because I am not a hippy) - and every sodding back excersize from the physio doesnt work. I mean COME ON! I have another blimmen 2.5 months til this little scoundrel pops out for the world to see - hopefully a little earlier if I get my caesar - which they STILL dont wanna do OMG! retards. I'm seriously considering going completely private and paying for the damned thing.
I'm really sorry for this lovely big rant, but my poor boyfriend (who has been awake with me fetching me tissues - helping me get up to pee EIGHT times - pulling me up off the toilet because I cant do it myself anymore etc, has just gone to bed and I cant keep harassing him about it all. He wanted to take me to the hospital, but what would they do. 'Oh here you go Alex, take these panadol and try laying in this position.' They would have got the panadol rammed up their noses - this is of course providing we would have been seen by anyone before the sun came up.
If only I hadnt have got pregnant, then I would have still been on the waiting list for my spinal fusion, been able to have pain relief and been able to blimmen sleep! ARGH! *tears hair out*

Oh gosh, does not sound pleasant your poor thing! Have you tried any of the other options such as Osteo? I work from an Osteo clinic and we get lots of preggy ladies coming in with back probs, there are other things that can help so don't put up with it!

Feel for you chicky. If it continues I would head to hospital where they can give you Morphine and Codeine as these are ok in pregnancy. At least you might get a bit of rest then.

Thanks everyone.. Its pretty stink all round. I'm not allowed morphine and codiene doesnt work for me cuz of the amount i've had to take in the past. I guess it's just one of those ass things that happens, isnt it. Still havent had sleep, went to the doctor today who pretty much said theres nothing I can do. Fingers crossed for an early birth.
