Me too - Always.
I also get an instant feeling for the temp in the room - cold house - No thanks!

I went to an open home last weekend and they had ALL the windows open to air it out I assume but it was FREEZING inside & it gave me the instant impression it was a cold (& possibly damp) house.

I made sure all our cupboards & wardrobes were neat & tidy. Get rid of all your cobwebs. Wash your curtains and buy new ones if you notice mould spots. If you have decking get some of that 30 seconds stuff and give it a good scrub. I made sure I left windows open (but we were selling in summer so the house wasn't cold). Put away stuff that people don't need to see (toiletries, bills, slippers by the back door etc). I made sure to put dirty washing straight into the washing machine instead of leaving them in the laundry hamper to stink out the bedroom.

Hope that helps.
