I've heard the theory that you show earlier with your second pregnancy but I made a concerted effort to get my abs back after I had Elle and (sorry to say) my tummy was essentially the same after her as before her (sorry).
Now, at only 5 weeks my tummy is bloated and my pants are uncomfe...they fit but they feel too tight!!! I keep having to go to the bathroom to undo them for a bit!!!
Do you think it is just temporary swelling from fluid / hormones? I mean, the baby is the size of pinhead so shouldn't be causing this! Maybe it'll settle down again before the bump starts to grow? I can't suck it in so can't hide it!!!!!!!
I didn't show at all until after 16 weeks, if not 20 with Elle although I put on some weight before then.

Not sure if it will go down, but yeah, we tend to show earlier with the second etc pregnancies as your body has already been through the whole "stretching" thing.
Good on you for getting those abs back after Elle though! Hope you can achieve it again - sure you will.

he he, sorry.....
I didn't have rock hard abs, lol, but was quite alot smaller than I had been pre Jake. When I got preg with Char, I was in maternity pants at 7 weeks..... and fully in maternity clothes at about 9 weeks....

I was smaller when I conceived Briona than with Hannah. I showed at about the same. With Kryssi I showed much earlier, even though the baby is still quite tiny there's a lot of other things going on in there and your uterus will be expanding a lot already.

Oddly enough I'm much smaller with this (my third) than I was with ds. I think with ds I popped straight out cos it was only 9 months since I had had dd (and she was nearly 4kg so my tummy muscles were well stretched!). I'm also eating much less junk and suffering much more with indigestion so not eating as much as normal fullstop!!! And yes, I am managing to panic myself silly cos I'm not huge yet! We can't win - we panic whatever way it goes.
