Hello Expectant Mummy's

My name is Sarah Urquhart and I am a training childbirth educator. Im in my final stages of training. Before I can start teaching the classes I need to support a number of woman through their births. I have supported a few births and I have also had two of my own children over the last couple of years. One in a hospital and the second in Warkworth Birthing Unit.

I am looking for woman on the northshore who would like to have extra support with the final stages of their pregnancy, birth and some postnatal care.

As a birth support I am there to do as little or as much as you want. I can help you to make informed choices about your birth as well as offer ways to help cope with labour. ( I am not there to take over from your LMC or midwife, I am there as another support to further discuss things if needed and to help you achieve the birth you desire, even if this is just making sure you always have a heat pack ready and a drink of water so your partner and LMC/midwife can focus on providing the best care for you).

If you think you would be interested please private message me so that I can give you more detailed information about how I can suppourt you.

Or if you have any general pregnancy and birth questions feel free to contact me. I have supported births at Northshore hospital and have given birth in Warkworth birthing unit so may be able to give you information about giving birth at these places.

All the best

Sarah

Hi Sarah, do you only want women birthing at North Shore? I live in Kaukapakapa so will be birthing at Waitakere and then transferring to Helensville - don't know if that rules me out or not...
