To all you preggos :) :
What did you do that "worked" the month you concieved?
For example, did you have sex more, chart your temps, use pre-seed, prop your hips on a pillow after sex, eat pineapple, etc?
What did you do that helped make this month the month?

Actually I am not being funny here when I say I did 'all of the above' when I had my short-term pg recently - even the pineapple, cause I was getting hayfever and I always eat pineapple when that happens as it's a natural anti-histamine!

I decided I wasn't quite ready for a baby after all and wanted to lose a kg or so for an upcoming Cocktail party - turns out Jackson had other ideas We tried for almost a year before hand and it was about a week before he was concieved that I had decided I didn't want a baby just yet. Must have been my body relaxing!

Oxy - thank you so much for starting this thread!
It is really interesting reading from all of you who have already managed to get pregnant.
Well it looks like most things really don't matter - more sex less sex, gymnastics after BD, vitamins and supplements and diet. All of these seem to have a different effect on all of us.
But the one thing that seems to be most common and gets most BFP's is to RELAX! Oh how we TTC girls hate that word.
But is does look like there is some truth in it so maybe we should all give it a go and try it?
Now next question for this thread.
HOW do you relax while TTC? Its still early days for me (3rd cycle) but for girls who have been TTC for 12 or 18 or 24 month it must be an eternity.
Do you relax by giving up on becoming pregnant or do you just decide to take a break for a cycle?

OK well here's my little story
I went off the pill and started taking Elevit on the same day. I also went and bought an ovulation thermometer and got a programme on my iphone to track my temperature. I decided I wasn't going to go down the path of CM or anything like that at first.
I think the first month I may have had a chemical pregnancy as I had a lot of symptoms but AF arrived before I had a chance to test, AF was incredibly heavy!
My cycles were frustratingly around 42 days which was driving me nuts and I have since vowed to never go on the pill again as I think it reaally messed me up.
DH and I went on holiday (with my inlaws!) to attend a couple of family events in various parts of Australia in the 3rd month. AF was late and I thought 'ooooh this is it' but AF arrived the day we flew back to NZ. However we got pregnant in the very next cycle!
So basically the only thing that was different is that I had had a good chill out on holiday... So as annoying as this is, I think the relaxing is what did it for us.

Thanks for starting this Oxy
I'm into my 11th month TTC. After reading all this I'm going to start zinc, drinking grapefuit juice pre ov and pineapple juice post ov, and BD way more . Funnily enough this month (on CD 2 right now) I feel relaxed and and not stressed as I really believe in won't be much longer, as does my DH. I hope we're right.
GL to everyone TTC.

'Relaxing' is actually the most hated word amongst people TTC, and from personal experience it doesn't make sod-all difference - sorry to disagree! If one more person tells me to 'relax' and it will happen, I will slap them - If relaxing is the key to holding onto my pregnancies then I will eat my socks - cause whenever I get pregnant I am always SUPER relaxed, everyone who knows I am pregnant comments on it - it's only when the hcg tests come back unusual and the bleeding starts that I am not so relaxed anymore!

relaxed and started taking Vitex a few days before ovulation. Though I only took it for five day as I thought it was giving me false high temps. And also I think I ovulated while in the middle of BDing as I felt the little stab of pain in my side.
