Topic: What results shld I realistically expect? Posted: 25 March 2010 at 7:43am |
Hi
After my suprisingly low HCG results on Monday morning (5)...where I think I must've been much earlier in my pg than I thought...(I thought I was about 4.5 wks cos my AF was late but now realise cos I'm not charting then I may well have been a week less than that)..what should I realistically expect-and hope for!- this morning?
I realise its the increasing/doubling that is important at this stage however with such a low start number would the higher it is the better or would a result of say 20 still be good? My HPTs have slowly been getting darker each day which I assume is good...and I have PSN again and ooowwww my nipples are so sore So getting all the pg symptoms.
Anyway, appreciate your feedback

Why not expect 20 (because it would be 5 Monday, 10 Wednesday, 20 Friday with doubling every 2 days like "normal") and then anything higher will be fantastic? Technically, 20 is still going to be good at your possible gestation....my level was 42 at 4w1d (with twins), which would fit with 20 for you at 3w6d

Thanks Kate- I hope it has risen...I HATE this part cos you feel so helpless the FR I did this morning was slow to develop (I thought) but within 10 minutes had quite anice dark line so I assume I'll have a count of at least 15 for that to happen?

Yep, most tests have a sensitivity of about 25, give or take a few. I think CB is 50??? and Discover is 15.....so you must have something going on in there!!!

Yep I would be expecting 20, at 16DPO mine was 80, which (assuming a doubling every 48 hours) would be 40 at 14DPO, 20 at 12DPO. Yours (if 20) sound perfect
