Thanks Pumpkino!
Fergus is 7.5 months, and we started with the mash, but he is a 'big boy' now and wants to feed himself, although he let me feed him yoghurt at lunchtime which was nice. I like what you said about the mix and match, that is a good piece of advice. I fed him his muesli at breakfast and then he feeds himself toast, so it's going well on that front.
I feed him in the kitchen, so that's lino floors (wooden floors when we get around to that reno!), so it's super easy to sweep up and wipe the floors. Thank goodness as he likes making a mess. Fun though.
I have just ordered the Gill Rapley book and that should arrive soon so I can be a bit more clued up.
Fergus has dinner early- at around 4.45 before bath and bed which is 5.30, so he has leftovers from the night before for his dinner and that plan is going well. We have lunch together so he sees me eat.
I think he eats a good amount already, and he enjoys putting things in his mouth- there have been some funny faces!
Thanks heaps for replying
