This morning I dusted off the juicer we got given over a year ago & juiced carrots & celery...yuck but its got to be good for you right?

Is anyone else into? What do you juice? Do you feel better for doing it? Any good sites or books?

We've got one and are going through stages of using it. We are in the not using it stage atm and have been for a while lol
I had some problems with my teeth during my pregnancy and as a result am avoiding anything to acidic, especially juices so it's just sitting in the cupboard for now.

Anyway, I have a book called The Juice Diet which has some nice recipes in it. Will dig it out later and have a look for some of my favourites and repost.

Here we go again, another baby on it's way!

We go through fits and starts of juicing. Most common is orange and carrot. The orange juice takes away the 'savoury' carrot flavour.
The good thing about carrots is that they are always relatively cheap!

It always feels like such a good tonic when you down a glass of fresh juice. And a great way to get your 5+ a day!

think I am interested in finding out what works with what & the effects it has.

Also if I can do a yummy one for the kids it would be a good way to get some veg into my fussy child.

Carrots are the cheapest & now I am thinking what I can grow & juice so better get my garden ready this weekend.

My daughter loves fresh juice as long as it has a sweet rather than savory taste.
What sort of juicer do you have? - mine wouldn't cope with some of those ingredients....garlic, ginger, spinach.

Looks like a similar system to mine - might just have to chuck a clove of garlic in to see what happens! And to see how it tastes
