Topic: When did others feel baby moving? Posted: 19 December 2008 at 11:50am |
Following my thread from the other day about when I should feel bubba move... well he hasn't sat still since! lol
Now Hubby is impatient to know when he will be able to feel him move!? I thought it wouldn't be until around 26 weeks?

I was at my work Christmas party in early december so must have been about 22-24wks and a friend of mine had her hands on my tummy when Michaela kicked and my friend got quite a fright. Poor DH was looking on as someone else got to feel his baby move for the first time. I didn't let anyone else touch my tummy again until about a week or 2 later when DH finally felt the baby move.

Roughly because I can't remember what I had for breakfast, let alone 10 or so weeks ago ... I first felt Cuinn move at about 16 weeks, but it was a good 4 weeks, maybe more, before DH felt him move and even then he barely felt anything. It wasn't until a couple of weeks on from that I think that I got to see DH's eyes pop out of his head Then of course he'd look at my stomach like the baby might pop out and say surprise! at any moment (he's seen waaaay too many alien movies!) He's a typical little b*gger though and stops moving whenever his Dad tries to feel something (usually a foot or a knee poking way out!)

I felt it move at around 20 weeks - but only little movements - I wasn't even sure they were movements tbh.
The real stuff started around 23 weeks.

I was 17 weeks when i first felt him move & i could feel it from the outside from 19 weeks. DP finally got to feel him moving at about 21 weeks. The baby would stop kicking as soon as he put his hand on my belly. Hehe.

I first felt Lucian move/kick at 15 weeks 4 days. It felt like little taps in the lower right of my abdomen, even DH could feel them.
By 16 weeks 2 days, his kicks were quite strong.
I was quite surprised to feel him move so early, considering it is my first pregnancy.

Hmmm, I myself felt movement very early, maybe around 14 weeks, DF felt him a few weeks later, i think it was just after xmas day and I was around 17 weeks pregnant. Caden was a very strong kicker and he was a very strong newborn lol
I didnt think DF would feel him move that early, but I was lying in bed with my hand on my lower tummy and Caden kicked and I felt it from the outside, and told DF and he insisted on putting his hand there to feel and I told him he wouldnt be able to, then Caden kicked and DF got a hell of a fright! It was so amazing for him

I felt DD move around 20 or so weeks, it was later and then not often after that as the placenta was more at the front. I assume that was the reason!!! I never had any huge kicks or saw any ripples, hopefully this time around its a bit different, would love some of that

*sniff* I cant REMEMBER!!!!!
Thats so sad , I dont remember when I felt my child move !
But i do know that she was a strong kicker, and was not shy, not only could people feel her kick , they saw it too,I would put a phone on my tummy lie down and she'd kick it in the air.
The lady at the chemist saw my stomach contort into a very odd shape....had to cut my joke short (i went in at 8 months asking for a pregnancy test *chuckles * )
I must have had a back placenta too, cos she kicked all the blardy time , and was lifting up her head and holding it at a week old (she had tummy time from day one)

I started feeling something like a worm squirming right down towards the bottom of uterus this weekend (15 weeks), but placenta is apparently in front so it sounds like it will be a few more weeks before i feel anything thats obviously bubs.. and even longer before DP can feel his baby kicking (First time for him and he cant wait lol)
And Kelly dont feel too bad about forgetting when it was with C, I have NO idea when I first felt anything with B.... he booted me good and proper in the beach bikini scene of the second Charlies Angels movie tho... all his father could say was 'Thats my boy!'
Edited for bad spelling

I have an anterior placenta and I started feeling bubs at about 18 weeks and it gets stronger and more frequent everyday. Its at the front towards the top of the uterus too, bubs is head down at the moment and I am still feeling plenty of kicks behind my belly button. I can see my belly jumping now too, but only if I am lying down.
DH still hasnt felt bubs yet even though I saw bubs kick his hand the other night. I am guessing another couple of weeks, which will put me at about 26 weeks. Doesnt help that the little monkey stops moving when DH puts is hand on the bump lol!
