Hi everyone,
just wondering if anybody has experienced high fever (40) then chills then fever then chills (you know the score) in late pregnancy without any major contractions. I am getting the odd BH, but no more than normal but just can't get warm even though I have a high temp. Last night was awful, and then this morning was better but now I have a temp of 38.9 again...should I call the MW or Doc or is this just normal??

I would definatly call MW if not a doc - thats a really high temp and may indicate an infection or illness of some sort. Even if it is just a flu - would be good to check up on for your own piece of mind and also let your mw know whats going on.

Definitely get yourself to the doc, a temp of 40 is bad even when you're not preggy. Take care hun, hope you're better soon!

I don't like the idea of that either. Maybe a UTI?

hey girls, well just to update you were all correct getting me to call MW. I ended up having to stay in hospital for two days and I just got back this morning.
They don't know what it was that caused the temp and baby wasn't enjoying it much on Sat (heart rate of 180-190!) but seems to have got through it OK now so that is the main thing...still stuck in my belly though! Time to come on out little one!!!!!

I just need to rest (yay) and wait so thats what I'm about to do, goodnight
