Topic: Active in the womb? Posted: 10 January 2010 at 8:45am |
just wondered if you found the wives tale to be true about more active babies in the womb more active on the outside?
E didn't move very much.. enough but not a lot of big rolling movements etc..prob cause he was transverse and then had legs tucked up cause he was so long.. but he is a SUPER active child..lol..
Liam on the other hand is much more active though he it's slowed to more massive movements rather than kicks and punches...but my whole belly moves all the way across..lol it's weird.. so i hope it's not true as Ethan is already super duper active and that would make Liam a whirlwind:)
E always kicked about 3am and then woke up then..Liam is kind enough to wait till 5am..lol so we shall see:)

gosh KA, when did you get to 35 Weeks!!!!!! Not long to go now! Have you made your elective v vbac decision yet??? sorry nosey me!
Hmmm, Jake wasnt overly active.. he would have little spurts. I think I missed alot due to him hiding out directly behind the placenta. He isnt overly active now! Though that might change in the coming months when he is more mobile. He tends to try for a bit then gets bored LOL
Will be interesting to hear what others have noticed...

My first son was crazy active in the womb even though the placenta was in the front, i could feel everything (Or seemed like it) and he is a very active child now. Never stops. I'm pregnant with my second boy due 24th March and he is crazy active too, hoping he is a bit calmer than his older brother.

Sam was crazy active in the womb as well and he is absolutely non stop active, never sits down, talks and sings and moves all day and has been almost hyperactive since birth!
Jamie sort of just lolled about in the womb, stretching and lazily turning over every now and then. And so far he's pretty much the same!

Jack was incredibly active and is an absolute dynamo now.
Ava was probably not as active, still waiting for her to roll more often and crawl so she's already less active than her brother was.

Spencer seemed very active inside but was quite a quiet baby and a late mover, and still a fairly quiet toddler i think, he has his crazy moments, but he also will sit and play quietly. Kyle spent 9 months trying to burst out of me, his movements were incredible and sometimes painful, and well you have seen what he is like The child is on a permanent mission and nothing stops him. Early mover, as you have seen, and tries to run when he hasn't even mastered walking yet.

No Riley was very active in the womb. However when he was born he was the best baby ever. My girls were quiet in the womb and were shocking when they were born

Jade was really quiet in the womb, we hardly ever felt her, but she never stops moving...she's always talking or squealing and kicking etc. Amber was the one who would play with us in the womb and she's just as active, always kicking as though she's on the run (we joke that she's trying to run to China).
