Hi everyone,

Just wondered if anyone knew of any exercise classes for during pregnancy in Auckland, preferably north shore.

There are quite a few if you google it but most of them seem to be in Central Auckland.

I'm in the same boat only I'm looking for classes in East Auckland or thereabouts and not right on peak traffic hour. I can find any.

What type of exercise? Alot of the swimming pools run aquanatal classes, I went to the ones at WestWave in Henderson and they were good

The yoga classes run through North Shore Leisure Centre in Glenfield are great, they're not geared for pregnancy but the tutors should be able to adapt various positions to suit you - I went until I hit 39 weeks and then took a break, haven't made it back but want to soon!

I got a couple of DVDs and they are great. You can get exercise - like aerobics - ones and I alos got a pilates dvd. Its great, I can do them anytime of the day and where what I want

I am starting some yoga classes at Botany next week - so that will be good..
They are not till 7pm

Also might look at doing aqua aerobics at the local pool one day too

Albany Yoga Room runs a pregnancy yoga class on Saturday between 10.30 & 11.45am.
