Has anyone else had them so that they actually wake you when you are sleeping?
I have felt them since I was about 12 weeks and strong since 18 weeks but I have noticed that the last couple of days they have been really strong.
Any suggestions to ease them or have less?

Yep I get them at night as well, for the last couple of wks they have been strong enough to wake me, I asked the MW if there's anything that could be done to stop them coming at night, unfortunately she said as things progress they will probably get stronger and there's nothing you can really do to stop them, it's the bodies way of prepairing you for whats to come.

I had them right through my whole pregnancy and they got worse and more intense towards the end! I don't think there is much you can do to ease them.

The few things I've heard are make sure that you wee when you need to so that your bladder isn't full, reduce caffiene (apparently if can trigger them in some people - sometimes it definitely does in me), increase water intake so you're not dehydrated. Other than that I just keep thinking that it's all good practice for labour!

I get them stronger when I need to pee, so that makes sense kate that you need to make sure that your bladder is completely empty when going to the loo.

My braxton hicks have been getting that strong and sore the past couple of nights that I thought that labour may actually going to start. on average getting round 5 hours of broken sleep a night, starting to feel very tired . I just wish they would let up so I could get a decent nights sleep.

the ones I had eariler on just made my tummy go tight and feel hard, not painful just a bit uncomfortable, as things have progressed and the bump has got bigger they have become much stronger and more uncomfortable, the bump feels real hard and sometimes when you are walking and you get a BH it can stop you in your tracks for a few secs. The strong ones I get now, my bump actually changes shape, and drops down a bit and you can sometimes feel the pressure in your bum.

Kahlia- I wouldn't worry. When I was pregnant with Ella, I didn't have them until quite late (definitely not at this stage)- this time around they have started in the last week or so, but quite mild.

Kahlia I didn't feel any BH when I was pregnant with Ollie - it's completely normal that some people feel them more than others. This time round I've had lots so it's been quite diffierent.

Kahlia - it's also possible you might be having mild ones and not feeling them? I didn't think I had had any but had CTG monitoring at 37 weeks due to baby not moving much, it showed I was having regular BH contractions I just couldn't feel them!

You can also try avoiding anything with raspberry in, some people are very sensitive to it.
