Hey Ladies, just a quick Q,

I was on my way to the boxing day races and i was getting period type feeling, (not cramps) so when I got there i went to the bathroom and there was red blood in my knickers when I wipped in turned into brown blood. Just wondering has anyone had this and anything like this and turned out fine, im not super worried just because i havent had anymore and i didnt get cramps with it!!

I am going to ring my mw tomorrow and see what she has to say and or weather she wants me to get a u/s which I would be happy about just to put my mind at ease.

I seem to write this every month or so. You're not alone. Whilst bleeding is not "normal" many of us have had spotting with no problems. Some women continue to spot around the time they would have got their period (so about now for you). I bled fresh red blood (enough that I had to wear a pad) intermittently from 6 weeks through to 17 weeks and after many scans nothing seems to be wrong. But definitely chase up your midwife or GP. Even if they don't do an US (just be warned that they'll do a vaginal one at your stage of pregnancy) they'll do some HCG's to make sure your hormone levels continue to rise.

Good luck. Hope everything's fine.

I had some brown spotting at 5w2d and again exactly a week later, but nothing more after a wipe.

I had a scan last Wednesday and all was fine.

At 8w1d I had a normal on-the-belly scan without probs, you'll just need a full bladder

Wishing you the best! I'm sure it's nothing to worry about

I had some bleeding at 8 weeks too and was sent for a scan which was fine. I also had a dating scan at 6 weeks and it was a tummy one not an internal one, just depends on the angle of your cervix, I have a friend who has a tilted cervix/pelvis and had to have an internal scan for her NT scan.

Yeah, I should have said they may do an internal US. My little gal was hiding a bit and they couldn't find the heartbeat until they did the internals (at 6, 8 and 10 weeks) which had me in tears each time before they found it. It's okay, but some people might get a bit of a shock hence the warning.
