Topic: Low Progesterone Posted: 10 May 2012 at 12:45pm |
Hey ladies!
I am searching high and low for women to talk to about low progesterone.
My levels are 25nmol/l at the infamous day 21 and should be 30-40 to be sticky enough to make a cosy home for 9 months.
I am due for a redo of the day 21 test over the next 2 months and then discuss treatment options if it doesn't change.
I'm really searching for success stories to give myself a hopeful boost.
I'm not too keen for medication so I'm doing everything possible naturally (Vit B6, C, and E are all supposed to boost progesterone levels).
Really looking forward to hearing from you and sending you all baby dust!

Hey Kellz,
No I haven't been to a naturopath.
I have been looking at progesterone cream, any one you recommend?
What is the spray called that you use?
Thanks so much

Accupuncture (including moxibustion and herbs) also helps to boost progesterone. Although my levels were normal, after several MC's I believe it was the accupuncture that helped me hang onto this bub. You'll need to see an Accupuncture Therapist who specialises in fertility treatment though. Good luck!

Hi Beansprout
My progesterone levels came out high like 52ish when I had my day 21 bloods however having had been trying for a long time I started dealing with a natural hormone therapist who tests progesterone through saliva. Found that mine was ridiculously low (was tested the same day as the day21 test in the same cycle) so have been using natural progesterone cream which has made a huge difference to my health especially PMS and cycle length (now consistent 27-29 days). Although I haven't become pregnant yet, long story and not related to her treatment, I totally recommend it as know other people who get UTD almost instantly!
They are Patient Advocates in Tauranga, everything is done over the phone and via post so you don't need to live nearby (I live in the central north island).
All the best - hope you get the answers you need.

Hello!!
It took me years to get UTD, then had three miscarriages (with varying times between them) and was told after number three, to not get pregnant.
We were supposed to have blood tests to see what was going on but the fella and I obviously couldn't keep our hands off each other and got pregnant.
I was actually on something containing progesterone at the time that I got pregnant (it was supposed to bring on my next cycle after my third miscarriage.)
They gave me progesterone tablets to shove up my bajingo and the pregnancy stuck.

Ok, I am on chaste tree (vitex) and have progesterone cream on the way and am booking a naturopath app as we speak.
Thanks for all your helpful info ladies, will let you know how it goes when I get my blood tests back.
Fingers crossed!
