Hi Everyone,
I have just found out I'm six weeks pregnant, first baby and I'm very excited. I have no friends that have done this before, so I need a bit of help. I have tried to find a midwife in Wellington but it is very hard and I have registered with Matpro, but does anyone know of a midwife that I could contact in Wellington city that might be available in November.

Have you spoken to Domino they are a group of midwives working out of newtown. Tel 8010206. this is to a paging service and they will get back to you if you leave a message I found my care amazing, will PM my midwifes name but have heard good about all of them.

Hi
I am 8 weeks preg and have heard from 2 midwives in Wgtn this week - one from Domino and another thru Matpro. So after worrying about not finding one at all, I now don't know who to choose...
The 2 midwives are Annie Bennett and Sue Whitley - I haven't met either yet, but does anyone have advice or recommendations?

That is good to hear, hopefully if i just wait I will get a midwife, I have registered with Matpro and also rung up Domino, I'm just scared I won't get one, but I have to be patient.

Im not sure about the city sorry as Im in lower hutt but I ahve heard wonderful things about dominoes.

Have you looked on here under midwives? I had problems finding one through matpro and domino to this day they never returned my phone calls.
