I know that every womans pregnancy is different, but I was wondering, what's normal with ms, the throwing up kind?

This last week my nausa has gone from just that to actual throwing up. I thought I had found a solution in ginger nuts, but alas, no. Now the past 2 days I've been sick twice during the day, and it's a lot more than just "the spits" at the start of the week, I'm bringing everything I've ever eaten up!

I've been making sure I keep my water intake up, but is there anything more I should be doing? I see my midwife on the 23rd so can ask her some things, but in the mean time.............

Well it sounds normal, but I am one of those ladies everyone love to hate did not really have ms. However I had friend's that got it so bad they were in hospital. It sounds liek you are doing all the right thing's like keeping your fluids up, but if you are worried you can ring your M/W anytime that is what they are there for.

I had what sounds exactly like what you have got, still do but to a much lesser extent.

Theres a couple of homeopathy pills you can get from the health shop - these helped slightly.

Otherwise other stuff that helped me was gingerbread (way better and more effective than gingernuts) - I make it once a week, its yummy. Chewing juicey fruit has become my newest fix for it and eating potatos. I don't know why but if I had dinner without a decent amount of spuds I would chuck it straight back up.

But overall it's best if you eat a little bit every couple of hours and don't have any big meals

That sounds about the same to me and sorry, but it went on till about 20 weeks. I use to really fight being sick which of course never made it any better so I use to get up in the morning, look at the toilet bowl and then throw up...over and done! Then if I felt sick during the day I'd do the same.....it was just quicker and I could get on with other things instead of feeling sorry for myself. So pleased when it was over though

Yeah I got fed up with feeling nasty and would do what linda did, at least that way I felt better. Sea bands also helped me. But if you feel totally rotten there are pills to stop it but it depends if you feel comfortable taking them. I didn't until I was 14 weeks because realistically if your baby is going to have any defects they are already there by that stage so after 14 weeks I took them and it's helped me.

Yup, I had bad morning sickness to the point of vomiting a few times a day. I also tried to fight it, thinking that if I threw up once I would be throwing up all day, but if I just accepted the fact that I was going to be sick I would really only just do it once and then be ok.

There are loads of things I tried that worked most of the time but sometimes didn't do a damn thing

Salt and vinegar chips
Constantly sucking on something (Double D sugar free fruit lollies are good)
Sculling milk (not nice when it comes back up though)

I tried everything, and milk was the thing that worked best for me, but I think everyone has their 'one' thing that helps lots. It's just a matter of trying everything

Good luck! Morning sickness is awful and I certainly don't take 'feeling normal' for granted anymore.

One of those little lunch pack bags of chips are good cause it's just enough to fill you up slightly and curb the nausea, but not enough so that you pig out! Unless you eat all 12 bags in one day.

I feel like I have MS back at 34 weeks. I have this horrible nausea feeling in my tummy that won't go away. I can't eat or drink anything.

But MS early in this pregnancy I was hit by it hard. I was on meds for it at week 8 as I couldn't kep anything down. My last pregnancy I had nothing.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

i had reeeeally bad morning sickness, i would throw up about every hour it was so bad (washing dishes for a living didn't help at all!). luckily my mum's a homeopath and she gave me something that made it go away straight away, the relief was unexplainable!
if it gets really bad there are things a doctor can give you or you could see a homeopath, otherwise, just keep up the fluids and ginger and stuff and i really hope it goes away soon. it's no fun!

I had hideous MS - vomited basically every day my entire pregnancy. Think I started a few threads back then too, asking for help on what to do. Really, the only thing that helped me was a prescription anti-nausea drug called Maxolon - an absolute wonder drug for sick preggy ladies. Sorry to not be full of "eat this, drink that", wish I could, but the drugs were the only thing that helped me. Frozen apple juice made the yuck taste go away a little.....

Good luck, hope you are one of the lucky ones who loses the MS in a few weeks time

Im another Maxolon girl didnt help me much with the nausea, but it cut my vomiting back to about once a day. Frozen Jucies were my helper, the tropical ones, and salt and vinager chip sandwiches.
Kayla Rose is now 4!
James Sydney is nearly 2!
