OMG my hips hurt soooo bad today...thought it was being on the boat that had done it but were worst of all last night - so bad it hurt to sleep on either side.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to relieve this agony? I think bubs is lying traverse again (after the foot long breech the other day) but lying right back into my back....

I am in mega pain....what to do???

Aw Bombshell I feel for ya! I usually only get sore hips after lying down for a while so moving around does help (but doesn't help on the sleep front)... you could try heat packs, lots of pillows in bed with ya, etc. During the day I find it helps to go on my knees and lean my elbows on a swiss (gym) ball. I feel sorry for ya, getting it so early though

I had severe hip and rib pain during the final few weeks, I had a session with an osteopath and it really was the best money I have ever spent. I ached the next day, but after that it was sheer bliss for the next 2 weeks, then i had Fay and it hasn"t bothered me since
Good luck tho, it's really miserable

Bombshell I get arthritis in my hips, so I'm not looking forwards to the later stages of pregnancy. What I find really helps is taking Omega 3 fish oil capsules - it's a natural (and very effective, in my experience at least) anti-inflammatory AND as a bonus it's known to be great for brain development and is a bit of a natural 'happy drug'... so if you take enough not only do your hips stop hurting but bubs gets smarter and happier as well

I usually take two capsules in the morning and three or four at night. I'll also take a little vitamin E capsule too, which helps your body to absorb the fish oil.

Hope you feel better soon.

lol I've been having lots of pains and cramps this week too (fortunately I'm not working and right at the end tho), my back seems to be copping the worst of it at the moment so I hear you on the pillows thing.

I just remembered that you're working through, when are you planning to work until?

What about a "smiley belt". You get them from the physio department of your hospital. Next appointment you have ask about getting a referral to them to get a belt. I had one for a few weeks and it was great.
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I had a tubigrip support which was supposed to help. Didn't for me, but some people swear by them. I got it from the physio at Nat Womens (I still have it if you want it)

Otherwise I found a tripillow under my bump was the only thing that helped (and I had a fairly susbtantial bump )
