I had 4 days of it , it sucked , make sure when you can you walk lots etc , to keep bringing baby down .
And my midwife said to relax as well , so I had a bath , and an hour later contractions were finally those "oh god, why am I doing this again " ones

Hehe yeah I've had those ones all day . Seriously they have been as strong as my syntocin ones were with Elle. I thought we were finally there when they were 5mins apart for an hour but now.....20mins apart again.
Done lots of walking, sitting on swiss ball and had a couple of hot baths but nope.
So didn't expect this.
Is it normal for a midwife to not see you in this situation? She just keeps saying it may take up to a week and go in when contractions are regularly 3mins apart and intense.

Yeah ,mine didn't seem very interested either , in fact she , and the back up , made me feel guilty for ringing, "just relax " blah blah , thats all very well , but just because its your second or subsequent baby , doesn't mean you know EVERYTHING about childbirth!
I know how much this false/latent labour sucks, I really hope you don't have to go through much more , ....come on baby !!!

I rang my midwife and she said you could be in labour all day she would ring us later in the afternoon and see how Im going, 45 minutes we were on the phone to her and when she finally came over I was already 8cm!
GRRR to your midwife!
especially giving your quick labour last time!

my MW told me to *lie down and take some panadol* I put the phone down and burst into tears .
That was at 3.30pm and Sophie was born at 6pm, 15 minutes after we got the hospital. I only had time to get my trousers and undies off - I was still wearing my nice Mobea top!
If I have a third I may as well just stay at home
