I emailed a company last week about when they will be coming back to new zealand and this is the reply I got, Im still shocked at how bad it is!

Sorry we do not go back to christchurch recently

now I know obviously english isnt the first language but WOW thats still pretty bad considering it was for a business!

Haha classic!

We have a photo of a tourist sign (engraved on graphite rock) from Thailand, saying 'have a nice and safety trip'. It was made by their tourism council, which I had assumed would have at least ONE person who could speak proper English to check over these things

Asians don't have past and present tense like we do so when they translate it comes across like that. Funnily enough I did the same thing when I was trying to translate my english into japanese

the best thing is the spelling.
I passed a massive sign on the way to orana park here in chch the other day advertising the Canterbery golf school... not Canterbury. Silly people :P

Ive got a greeting card I bought in Korea which says "I lick you" ... was meant to be 'like'!
