Topic: Being Notified of Posts in Forums Posted: 05 January 2012 at 12:03pm |
Hi all
Is anyone else getting email notifications for topics they havent subscribed to? I thought I'd pushed a button by accident the first couple of times, but it's happened about 4 times now in the last 24 hours and the last two are topics that I've never even been into. Odd

SethsMama if you scroll underneath the 'post reply' box there is a link that says 'watch this topic for replies' and when you click it, you are emailed every time someone posts. It's great - but only if you actually WANT to be notified lol
Argh _SMS_ it's a pain right?! My emails have been flooded with notification emails from OB today and it's starting to get really annoying. Also what's weird is that when I go to unsubscribe from some of them, it doesn't even say I'm subscribed so I can't undo it.
Off to unsubscribe from the Due in April 2011.. I haven't been to my 'due in' in months and if I had subscribed to one, it would have been my May group - but I have never subscribed to that either so something weird is happening.

I'm getting the same, and I have no idea why - says I'm subscribed to brand new threads even, that I've never seen (cos they've just been posted) and therefore I can't have subscribed to....

No I haven't AandCsmum, I haven't subscribed to any topics at all.
Haven't had any in the last few hours so that's a good sign

Hi all - this does sound weird. I'll let our tech guru know so he can check it out.

Thanks Kelz!
I haven't had it since yesterday so hopefully it will stop now. Though it happened last week a few times then stopped, then started up again this week and though I still claim baby brain on the odd occasion, I definitely haven't subscribed (or even been into) most of the topics I was getting notifications for.
