I have been put onto bedrest - as much as "possible" with xanthe of course - due to my high blood pressure, and after 2 days i am going mad. the thought of another 8 weeks of this is enough to make me cry, but i will do it as i dont want to be put into hospital (as was threatened, blardy nazi midwife!!!! )

am having a big pity party as i dont feel like doing anything, but am bored. even the computer is losing its appeal :( how can i make this time go faster?

It doesnt help that dh hasnt got the groceries this week yet, so there is nothing yum in the house..... ( and wow, you should have seen the tanty from him when he realised that he has to get the groceries too!!! that was entertaining lol)

i thought i might stock up on weekly rental dvds to watch, but i cant get the girl to switch off playhouse disney, which is getting boring too. Am i a hopeless patient or what??? (have had several comments about poor nurses at hospital if they do end up having to share my company )

books, visitors - and make them bring nice things to eat, sorting thru baby stuff cause you can sit and do it, write out lists of things for partner to do incl grocery list and jobs that need to be done, read cook books to find exciting recipes you will never use, online shopping, magazines, write letters to people, go over your birth plan, enter as many online competitions as you can find, write to your local MP about something... i'll come back when i think of any more.

Oh I feel for you! And I bet you're hardly bed-resting with a nearly two-year-old, how impossible is that!?!?!

Do you have any friends with kids around Xanthe's age who might come and play for an hour - sortof like free babysitting? Sorry that's all I can think of. I'm not on bed-rest and I still get bored from time to time - with both girls at home! Go figure...

Sending you some sympathy - been there done that and it sucked big time! But Gsmum has all the right ideas - she even brought me books and a DVD player to borrow when I was having a pity party here. And it does pass, and bubs is worth it in the end. LMAO at the midwife's expression when the first thing I said after giving birth was "Yay, now I can drive again!"

I would be round to have a cuppa and hang out only your house is just that bit further away than it was 10 years ago (oh my god that seems so long ago) If only we could share out blood pressure out more evenly then we would both be sweet, although mines not so much of a concern than yours. Sending you big hugs and xanthes pressie too,Oh and some choccies., when you email me your street numba.
