Topic: Anyone still doing Zumba? Posted: 02 September 2011 at 10:11am |
I did a search on Zumba to see what came up and most of the threads are from last year and everyone said how great it is.
Im interested to see if you still think that.... Is it really THAT good? I know I have the time to do it, I just want to know that it will actually help me tone up my middle and legs and get me fitter. TIA

Yes, except evening nausea has stopped me for the last couple of weeks.
Definitely toned up my core, not sure about shifting weight cause I used it to keep my weight stable, which I did for a year.
I do a class which is good fun, not sure about doing it at home.
One thing that surprised me is that even though I didn't use my arms overly a lot, I still toned up my upper arms!

The girls that come out of the zumba class at my gym are usually sweating like pigs lol.. doing at it home if that's what you want to do you will only get a good workout if your able to push yourself hard. I dunno if it would help get fitter, it should help with your core.

Yep I do Zumba in a class once a week and it's FUN! I'd love to do it more often, but don't have the time. The instructor says if you can't quite figure out the steps - make it up! You will get it with time though. I also have the DVDs which I didn't enjoy to begin with, but now that I've been in a class I don't mind the DVDs so much. I only started doing Zumba a week before I found out I was preggy so it hasn't helped me tone my tummy at all, lol
I agree with what James said, if you enjoy dancing, you'll enjoy Zumba Que te mueve!

Great stuff, thanks for the replies. I have managed to source a set off a friend to see if I like it or not. If so then I shall look at doing a class one day a week, but more likely to do it at home.

I do Zumba sometimes. Bit hard with an active toddler, but I try.
