What is considered a good mortgage rate?

We've been offered a margin of 0.41 off the current variable rate but I've no idea what is good or not and whether I should shop around further or accept.

Would anyone be willing to share what rates they've offered and any negotiating tips?

Hi azza I work for a bank so i know a little about this !!!
If u look on interest.co.Nz you can compare the rates u are getting, u could also ask if u had all your insurances with that bank if they could do any better? But .41 off is gd depending on what term and what else they offer u? Fees or legel fee help or flybys or airpoints? U can guess what bank I work for from that

lol I'm sorry but even though i have a mortgage i had no idea what you were asking! I think we are due to refix later this year and are hoping it wont be too different from what we have now. We have always just fixed our interest rate.
