When we were younger we'd go to the same camp ground every year - they are some of my best memories growing up!
Just went with my sister and her 4yo and 8mth old to Wellington - right now I'd say that was her best holiday Te Papa was a HIT. And surprisingly it didn't cost as much as we thought it would!

Growing up we went to Whakatane/Ohope every year. I loved it. In 1998 we went to Fiji that was pretty cool but I preferred Whakatane cos my cousins were there
When pregnant with DS I went camping with friends at cooks beach. By far the coolest holiday. Even tho I almost died in the heat But it wasn't a 'family holiday'

We used to go to Papamoa beach camp every year when I was a kid, but so far our best holiday was camping out of the back of our Ute around the south island. We built in a platform & put a double bed mattress on top, big flat boxes for clothes & food, portable cooker & gas bottle & tent. Was great! Super quick to set up cause we'd pitch the tent inner, throw in the already made double mattress, pop on the fly, set up the table/cooker & put up a Car awning off the back of the ute for the living room.

Sunshine Coast in Oz, does help that I have family there so I don't have to pay for accommodation. It has a number of touristy things to do that aren't advertised like they are on the Gold Coast. The beaches are fab up there too.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

USA road trip including Disneyland. Not exactly a holiday, we were exhausted at the end of it. But it was great fun!
