Topic: 40 WEEKS PG! What an anti-climax!!! Posted: 25 September 2006 at 12:17pm |
ahhhh well 40 weeks today. All year I have been hanging out or this day, THIS DAY! 25 Sept, MY DUE DATE...except now my due date has turned out to be just another day of me sitting around with big puffy fingers, a nasty waddle and pains in my hips...
If I ever get pg again (unlikely after this performance) I am going to forget all about the official due date and focus all my attention on 12 days after that date, I am going to set my own due date that it cant fail...
aanannyyyyway...just thought I would pass that info on to other mums who are starting their countdown, make your countdown for the last possible day and forget the official due date, only 5% of babies are born on that date anyway according to one website I saw... that way you can only be pleasantly surprised if it comes earlier and not dissapointed if it comes later....

Good plan Frantic, about allowing an extra 12 or so days! Hope she gets out here soon

Congrats - you've survived 40 weeks of pregnancy! (no small feat in my books). Here's hoping little bubba doesn't want to make it last too much longer, eh!

These remaining September babies really are a stubborn bunch!! Here's hoping you're little one puts in an appearance soon! One of us surely has to get the ball rolling.

It's a good plan though Frantic. Due dates are often a massive disappointment
Here's hoping the little one takes the hint and makes a move.

So Andie, are you hoping to swap dates with some of these overdue mummies? ;)

He he... I'd love to, but that just doesn't seem fair, does it?! I'd have a whinge about how people are asking why baby isn't here yet (even visiting to see if I've had the baby and just not told them) 1 - 2 weeks before my due date... but don't wanna thread-jack!!
So Mrs Frantic, my thoughts are with you, 'cause you'll have endured more of this than I have so far - stay strong (or collapse into a sobbing heap... either works!!).
