Topic: Anyone got a 3 wheel pram they dont want Posted: 11 July 2011 at 8:13pm |
I am thinking about entering a 6km walk/run thing in December so need to start getting fit and training. The only thing is I live on a farm, and a gravel road so my 4 wheel push chair is really hard to use for walks around here.
I was wondering if anyone had an old 3 wheeler they don't want any-more and want to sell for cheap or give it away. I'm not concerned about the condition of it as long as its safe for my 16mth old (10kg), and alright for walking on gravel. A rain cover would be a bonus but I'm sure I can sort something out for that, or not go in the rain.
I live just out of Rotorua so somewhere around that area, or between here and Hamilton would be ideal, but open to other offers.
TIA

Have you checked Trade-Me? I just got a P&T sport for $150, its only 3years old and according to my FIL who's picked it up for me its in great condition.
I've been watching them on TM for a while as my mum wants one for all the grandies to use on her lifestyle block and there are a tonne on there, I just decided to be fussy and made sure we got a pretty one to use in town as well

Tania i got my double Pedigree Mountain Buggy for $20 off trademe. It is faded etc but goes great, had it for over a year now no problems and we run with it, take it up the mountain, round the farm. Those were really built to last and you won't worry about it getting grubby if it isn't flash. They have heaps of single ones listed usually.

I got one on TM for $15 when DD was tiny, I broke one of the wheels on it recently (apparently weight limit of 26 kg means a 10kg kid and three 20 kg sacks of chook/pig food is too much, hehe).
It was going to cost $65 for a replacement wheel, so I bought another whole pram the same but in better condition for $38 on TM. Now I'll use the original for spare parts!
TM is great if you're not too fussy
