My Niece turns 3 in a few weeks and i am looking for a pressie for her. Im really not sure what to get her....

I had an idea of taking her to see ice age and doing something else (as she is the type of kid that would sit through, she sat through a 2 hour theatre production) Is that a good birthday present or should i actully get her something physical rather than an outing?

What ahve you guys got for your kids or what have they been given that they really like?

TIA

My neice is nearly three and she LOVES puzzles. You could get her a really cool one that shows stuff she likes (my neice likes dinosaurs and fairies) - I've seen some amazing wooden ones that you would keep forever.

If you go for an outing (which I think is also a great idea too) then a wee momento of the trip would be a good idea too ( a small soft toy you go and pick together or something pretty for her hair...???)

If she likes sitting for movies- then Iceage then maybe go to cafe for a fluffy or to mcd's would be a fab treat! You could even take a camera, take some pics of the 2 of you on the outing and get one of those little photo albums and make a keepsake like that.

Isla is 3 in Oct, no way she couls sit through a movie lol, but she loves anything to do with baby's/dolls, puzzles, playdoh/drawing/painting/glue/glitter etc, dressing up- bags, necklaces, makeup, hats, shoes, skirts etc

Amy was given 3 or 4 puzzles for her birthday which she has enjoyed and also a doctors set which she loves.

Hannahbil, I think thats a great idear, if you want to buy for her also, why not some hair ties, scarf so she can wear on your outing.

I don't have girls only boys & get way too many toys, so when I buy for my nieces, I usually buy, books or girly things they can ware or use, not toys so much.

A movie is a great idea.  Michaela loves Ice Age 1 & 2 I'm really looking forward to taking her to Ice Age 3.

CuriousG got Michaela a crayola colour wonder colouring in book for her 3rd birthday and that was a huge hit!  If you go for that be sure to get the ones for age 3+

Another thing that my 3yo loves is pretty necklaces, hairclips and ties, tiara's, wands etc.  You could get her a music jewellery box and fill it with costume jewellery from $2 shop or chemist.
