Topic: Trishs Update Posted: 27 August 2006 at 12:59pm |
Well I spent most of Friday in Hospital!
Turns out the sore Stomach is a gastro bug that going around, But still worried at my BP which is still going up.. 137/96
Ive been really short of breath(can only walk 2-3 lamp posts and then have to stop to catch my breath!) and also every other night Ive been having sharp stabbing pains in my chest They investigated as much as they could to tell me I have a small blood clot on my lung! Un Fortunatly they cant do any thing for me as the medication they need to give me thins the blood and it can be very harmfull during pregnancy!!! So I was sent home and told if while sitting I lose my breath or the pain in my chest lasts for longer then 4-5 mins(they can last 2-2.5mins atm) them Im to go straight to the emergancy department!
Will let you know if anything else happens
Trish

Hey Trish are you allowed to take low dose Aspirin? One of my friends has a blood clotting condition that requires medication, but she couldn't take it while TTC, pregnant or breastfeeding so she used low dose aspirin instead. It was safe for baby & worked just enough for her to have her daughter without too many complications
Just a thought? Maybe you could ask your doctor or a specialist wether you could use it for your small blood clot?

I've heard the aspirin thing too - the paediatric dose is sometimes used to thin blood during pregnancy in women who have DVT's.
Hope you are getting heaps of rest Trish!
