Hi ladies,

Went to clinic appointment hoping to get birth plan underway but then my BP was up again and they kept me in again.

Specialist told me it was uncommon for babys head not to be engaged in a first pregnancy at this stage and looking at possible c-section if he does not engage soon.

Then I see my midwife and she said it is ok and normal dont push for an induction.

She did an internal and discovered my cervix is still tightly closed and Jaxon s head is floating high. She told me just to be patient and wait.

Im happy to wait as I want to give birth naturally but then I dont want to go way over term cos apparently he is a big baby already and my Bp is just making me sick, headachey, dizzy, and just feel crap.

Its stressful as I have to rely on other transport and cant get to appointments all the time.(20 minutes away)  I have to go again tonight I was only there yesterday. I think its just a waste of time. Why dont they just get me to go once a week and let me just relax and wait for Jaxon to arrive.  Argh!!!!

I burst into tears yesterday at the hospital  after hearing all these different opinions from everyone. Staying in hospital has just been a  big waste of time.

If they want to keep me there tonight cos of raised Bp then they can go jump. Id rather go home to my nice warm bed and relax her than staying there and staring at 4 boring walls. No tv, nuthn. Arghh.

had all the symptoms of going into labour including spotting, backache, period like pain, etc etc and obviously it was nuthin. Baby was lying back to my back which explains the backache.

Anyway sorry Ladies. Needed to get this off my chest.

Cya

I totally know how you feel. i was in and out of hospital with Andrew with high BP and I'd get put in and after 2 days they wouldn't induce me and i'd walk out and leave without proper discharge, only to go back in after a few days. Rest up big time at home and do this. That was my problem I didn't rest - I couldn't as I was nesting really bad. Don't worry too much (I know easier said than done), but when he is ready he will come out.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Sorry to hear that Kell - I hope it all settles for you soon. Either way it is not long to go now - little jaxon will be here in no time! Big hugs for you!

Sorry you are having a tough time Kell. Your m/w is right tho - first babies often don't engage until labour. I saw my m/w on the Tues and Maya was still nowhere near engaged and I went into labour on the Wed. You can also still be induced even if bubs hasn't engaged, it's just a longer process.
