E went through a phase of waking at 530 and nothing would get him back to sleep..i just went with it and he got over it now it's 630pm-7-730am ..he is in his cot and I dont want him having stuff in there overnight so he has nothing to amuse himself with and wont settle back to sleep once he is up..but that is ok for us.. so yeah for us 630-7 is fine..but if he was her age i would expect 7

This morning it was 8:36! :D
It's not morning in our house until 7, although she's definitely allowed to sleep later if she feels so inclined. I'm not a morning person, and 6 is far too early for my liking...
If she wakes earlier (6:30 is her earliest) she's pretty happy unzipping her sleeping bag and throwing everything out of her cot til I get her up. It'll be interesting to see if / how that changes when she's in a bed she can actually get out of.

7am in this house, with a 6.30-7pm bedtime each night.
I'm old fashioned in the belief that you start as you mean to continue, so that bedtime and wake time (although next year it will be 6.30 when I'm working) will carry on through to school age.
Ava usually wakes between 6-7am but I either resettle her, just let her grizzle in her bed (as she never takes a bottle that early for some reason), or put her in bed with me. She usually then sleeps til 7.30 sometimes.

Megan can now open her bedroom door...this morning at 6:30am she was saying "pooh stinky nappy" and course I am busting to go pee so she sees me and wants to get up.
I think I might put the gate across her bedroom so least she cant get out..7am is more acceptable to me

Hi for us its just after 7 in the mornings during the week as we are getting ready for work and daycare - if its before she will normally settle again at the weekend I get her up between 7.30 - 7.45 its sleep in time! Hubby is gone from the house early at the weekends so it just me and bub. Sometimes she is awake but others we need to wake her which I hate. Bed at nights is between 8-8.30pm she is like the little energizer bunny! Bubs is 13 months.

Our girls wake anywhere between 6:30 and 7. Keira would sleep longer but it is Maddi who likes to wake at 6:30 and if she doesn't get her feed straight away she will scream. It would be lovely if she just played happily in her bed. I think her days of still being breastfed are numbered.

7am is "morning" here. Anything before that gets treated like night time (lights stay off and no getting out of the cot). I let C sleep till whenever he likes though - we've had a few 8.30 sleep ins on the odd occasion! Bliss! Our bedrooms are really dark in this house so I find it really hard to wake up in the mornings. In our old place 7am was easy coz the sun would come up and I would be wide awake. Now it still feels like the middle of the night
Sorry, rambling ...

6am minimum - sometimes she wakes at 5.30, and I prefer 7, so it's my compromise! But that will change when she's older and the mornings are darker again, I'm sure.

Michaela wakes just before 6am but I refuse to get out of bed before 6:45am so she climbs into bed for a cuddle with me until then. Andrew wakes at 7am so getting up at 6:45am gives me time to have breakfast with M before the first morning feed.

Taylah normally wakes around 630am. But any time from 6am i find acceptable.
If its before 6am she gets a bottle & goes back to bed. She normally will just play until 7ish and want to get up.

Well, 6am seems to be not unacceptable in some houses. I would dearly love it to be later but I can't make her sleep when she isn't tired. Its 6am on the dot every morning at the moment, I think with lighter mornings its not helping but I have accepted it and am getting up when she does. Looking at the positive of it, I am up, dressed and breakfasted before Cam wakes up as he usually feeds about 4amish and then sleeps until 7.30-8am most mornings.

It used to be 7am. They would wake around 6:30am and I would let them in their cots until I was ready to get them. When I got up I would chuck books into them while I got my coffee.
Now the sides are off the cots I have to go in to separate the squabbling over books
We had a 5:30 start from Aoife today. *yawn*
But most days now it's 6am - 6:30am and this is after them settling for the night at 8pm!
Roll on the end of teething season!

My two tend to wake between 5.30 - 6.30 most mornings. For us this isn't a bad thing as DH and I should both be getting out of bed at this time anyway to get ready for work. It would be nice to have a lie in on the weekends though!

Our two usually wake between 7-7.30 If they wake before seven I don't get them out of bed. They stay in their room until at least 7. They never cry though they just sit in there chatting to each other until I get them out :)

What do you do if your little one is crying tho??? Hayden always wakes up wanting booby and is very upset until and I go and get him (yes he is 15mths and loves his morning booby still
This morning it was 5.30am but his PJ's were a bit wet from the silly nappy, it is usually 6am sometimes 6.30am and every now and again 7am NEVER EVER been 8am He is asleep in bed at 7pm 90% of the time.
Oooh CuriousG that is hard, when you put Cam back to bed after his 4am feed you have less than 2hrs sleep til you have to get up for the day I take my hat off to you, you are a mummy legend I cant even fathom how I'd cope with that but then you just do I guess, now if I get woken once in the night I feel like death but it was only this time last year when it was twice a night every night and I survived

For me, wake up and get up are 2 different times - E can wake up anywhere from 5.30, she has a boob and will come into bed with me and either go back to sleep if it's early, or we watch cartoons for half an hour, and get up 6.30-7.
