Topic: Weight Watchers Posted: 21 July 2008 at 4:04pm |
Hey Ladies,
I was wondering if someone could please help me.
I'm currently in the process of trying to lose weight.
My main issue is portion control and I'm finding it really really difficult to combat this on my own without any guidelines etc.
I've been really good in all other areas, joined a gym and have been going at least twice a week, doing at least 45 minutes of cardio each time and doing strength and weight training once a week.
Aaaaaanyways, I was just wondering, would anybody be willing to forward a copy of the points system to me? I've used this before using a friends copy and it really really helped me. I've just spent ages on the WW website, but I really can't afford to join
I really really want to lose this weight and tone up for the big day next year. I know I have plenty of time, but to be frank, I'm sick and friggin' tired of not fitting any of my clothes and just feeling gross and self-conscious.
So, could anybody help me?!
I know I sound like a completely desperate loser, but admittedly, I am. Hahaha. I won't take offense if nobody can help, but figured I'd ask anyway... Afterall, you don't get if you don't ask - Right?
Thanks in advance

Hi Serenity
I have just joined back with WW. When you say you want a copy of the points system forwarded to you, what exactly do you mean? Happy to help in any way I can

Do you know anyone who attends meetings? Ask them if they would kindly get you a copy of the points book (it's less than $20 if I remember correctly) or check Trade Me.
OR you could buy one of their neat calculators on which you can work out the points of ANYTHING with a nutrional label. I love my calculator! That's around $15, and then you have the food world at your fingertips.

Hi Serenity, I go to WW, I think the points books is $24.95 and the points calulator is good too, about $15 I think. I can get these for you. I will have a look and see if I can photocopy my first booklet called Getting started. It has all the things you need to know in it. But the points book is the one you want especially if you can't attend the meetings.
PM me if you want and I will see if I can get them for you.

OH you guys are darlings.
Basically I just want the booklet so that I can track what I'm eating and no that I'm getting all the right stuff and not going overboard... I just need something to keep me in check.
I've tried doing the food diaries etc, but I always forget to update them and it's not as effective as I don't really know what's worth what, IYGWIM.
Hmm, might look on Trademe! I didn't even think of that, thanks Kirsten!

If I need to loose way more weight I will be joining weight watchers my mum did it and she lost heaps of weight.
At least you can still eat the food you want, just in smaller portions.
