Topic: Hens nite ideas Posted: 19 January 2008 at 10:29pm |
ok am being bridesmaid in a few weeks for a very good, but very very straight edge and traditional girl.
What to do for her hens night? All the ones I have organised thus far have included lashings of booze, strippers, nakedness, chocolate penises etc and dirty task sheets.
CAn't do any of that at this one as there are going to be alot of old aunties etc.
She dosen't want boring games like memory games etc, but what in the hell else can I do except for singstar?

Would toilet paper wedding dresses offend her sensibilities?

Ask her DF a list of questions, ie, his fav colour, movie, meal, etc anything you like really. And on the night see how many she gets correct. Always a bit of a laugh and doesn't have to be dirty.

My sister organised my hens night and we had old aunties etc and had a great time - lots of laughs!
We had the toilet paper wedding dress thing, pin the willy on billy (ok so auntys might be embarrassed but still fun!), the things about DF and pass the parcel with funny little gifts inside...
Have fun and remember that it's all about having fun and enjoying being girls!

Yeah, and have a whole heap of different canned food for her to take home.. If she gets the question right, you leave the label on on the can. If she gets the question wrong, you take the label off. Mystery food!
My friends ended up having pasta sauce as tomato soup one night, until they realised it was really rich and wondered what was going on...

Also a quiz about the bride for other people to answer, and I had singstar at my hens night, it was meant to be a prelude to heading out on the town, but we ended up having too much fun and staying in!

I am in the same position as I am a bridesmaid 1st march. what I am into is not what she is - what we are doing is Lunch with a bunch of friends, then going to some hot pools then back to another bridesmaids for a prenzels party (if I can get in touch with one of the tasting people) then i think I might just have to get the sing star out (sure me and the other bridesmaid will hog the singstar but hey! )
I had been suggested some parties and they are really good but got told when we had a bit to drink and so forgot them so will have to ring my other friend for a recap...
I remember one where you get butter and bride has to mould a penis out of it (I would use playdoh though) but not too sure if thats a bit too much for her LOL (me I would of luahged and did it)
ETA: change pringles to prenzels LOL

lol do you mean prenzels, Ann? I did think that, there will be booze there, but a quick look at the list tells me that me and her are the only non teetotallers, lol!!! Thought about penis hoopla, and whoever gets the most hoops on gets the penis (a choc one). Will try and track down her fiance and get a list. Hmmmm. AAARRRGGGHHH.

I had a at home karaoke machine for my hensparty. mainly cos people dont like playing me at singstar cos I always win and when i had my party there werent as many disks as there are now!..
Im orgainsing a split hens party as my friend also has some older ladies coming along!
Ive organised a supper at my place with a few of those games. does the bride know her groom, do the guests know the bride, etc etc. Lots of Margeritas for the bride and younger ones, a few reds for the oldies and some nice teas and coffees.
Then three hours after the first half the oldies will head home and we will all be jumping on a Limo bus for karaoke and a tour of teh north shore bars where she will wear her Tshirt i am getting made with tasks printed on the back and bride on the front in bright pink...

leelee what lucky dip for? I mean what was in it? i thought everyone could bring a small pressie for the bride to be. They did that for me on my second (yes i had 2) and it was pretty cool.
Oh we have done the pin the willy on billy and might do it again at her party.

We were originally doing something different which involved lots of game so had prizes for them, the my sisters decided to have a change of plans so we made use of the prizes and made them into lucky dips, the girls loved the idea
